The closed beta surpassed every M1 target. 55 users (110% of the 50-user goal), $20.8K USDC moved across 249 transfers, $11.5K onboarded, and a 95% activation rate at M1 close (52 of 55 users actually transacted). Users span 4 countries: Colombia 46, USA 4, Spain 3, Mexico 2. The bulk onboarded at our March 23 Cartagena event. The legal entity, SIPPY S.A. DE C.V., was incorporated in El Salvador on March 20, 2026. Post-M1, the network kept growing through Pizza Day 2026 in Cartagena and the TechX ColCaribe presentation at Universidad del Norte.
The fiat onramp was the longest deliverable to land. The original partner became unresponsive, Transak declined KYB, and TransFi stalled, so we pivoted to Colurs.io, a Colombian startup. Their integration is now live for Colombian Pesos, and Coinbase Onramp covers non-Colombia countries. In parallel, Sippy shipped a full brand redesign and rebuilt landing page (sippy.lat) with an angular logo system, brutalist geometric design language, and a dual-color palette (cheetah blue for consumer, electric green for crypto).

Milestone 2 crossed its volume threshold on July 10: $50.7K USDC has now moved through Sippy all-time, inside the $50-100K target band. The figure is broad-based rather than concentrated, because it comes from 127 wallets that have transacted (55% of 231 registered users) across 338 qualifying onchain transactions, counted with relay legs and sub-dollar dust removed, in 6 countries. Every transfer can be checked on Arbiscan through the live feed at sippy.lat/stats. Of the total, $26.7K entered through the fiat onramps and verified users have sent out $23.3K. Reliability is holding: since gasless sends went live on June 25, all 55 sponsored ERC-4337 operations have landed onchain with zero failures (38 sends, 14 onboarding deploys, 3 savings operations). 13 wallets were active in the last 30 days, so deepening recurring peer-to-peer sends is the growth focus for the rest of M2, driven by the Season 1 incentive program live since June 27 (public leaderboard at sippy.lat/temporada) and the upcoming Arbitrum Spotlight at Pragma Lisbon 2026, where Sippy will present onsite July 24-26.
The written deliverables are closing as well. The legal set is live at sippy.lat/terms, sippy.lat/privacy, and sippy.lat/disclosures (each page renders in English for English-language browsers, with the official Spanish text alongside), wired into a double-checkbox consent gate at signup and a fee, gas, and irreversibility breakdown before every send. Technical documentation is published at docs.sippy.lat. Both blog posts shipped: A dollar wallet inside WhatsApp and The crypto people use before they learn the words. User testimonials are in: 10 collected through a Tally survey with an NPS of +80, and a selection is published in the What Users Say section below. On the product side, gas sponsorship moved from the GasRefuel pre-funding model to a Pimlico paymaster on Arbitrum One that covers the exact gas of each operation (sends since June 25, new-user onboarding since July 6), so per-user gas costs dropped while the experience stayed fully gasless. Savings mode v1 lets users deposit and withdraw from chat, passkey login and step-up confirmation hardened security, and a Mt Pelerin SEPA onramp opened Europe alongside Colurs.io for Colombia and Coinbase Onramp elsewhere.
231 users | $50.8K USDC moved | $26.8K on-ramped | 357 onchain transactions | 13 active wallets (30d) | 55% activated | NPS +80 | 7/9 M2 deliverables done, 2 in progress (live snapshot 2026-07-11, mirrors sippy.lat/stats)
Sippy uses Arbitrum because sub-cent transaction fees and fast finality make USDC transfers practical inside a WhatsApp conversation.
From the M2 testimonial survey (July 2026): 10 responses, NPS +80 (8 promoters, 2 passives, zero detractors). Spanish responses translated to English, originals on file. Each person is credited the way they asked to be.
