Sippy is the third-wheel wallet: you, your friend, and your money in the same chat. It is so easy that people sometimes struggle to grasp that their chat now manages their money.
What Sippy is
A non-custodial wallet that lives inside WhatsApp. You text "send 20 to mama" and digital dollars (USDC on Arbitrum One) move from your account to hers. No app to download, no seed phrase, no gas to think about. It works anywhere WhatsApp works.

Why it matters
Money already lives in chat. Every split bill, every rent reminder, every "I'll pay you back" happens in a messaging app, and then everyone leaves the chat to move the actual money. Sippy removes that last step, anywhere WhatsApp works. We started in Latin America, where daily life already runs on WhatsApp, but the rails are global: money comes in from bank accounts, cards or crypto, and lands in a chat.
How it works
- Non-custodial smart accounts (Coinbase CDP embedded wallets) on Arbitrum One. Users hold their own keys behind phone auth and optional passkeys.
- Natural language in Spanish, Portuguese and English. The bot understands local amounts, so "2 mil pesos" becomes the right number of dollars.
- Contacts live in the chat too: save "mama" once and every send after that is two words. You can import them straight from your phone.
- Gas-sponsored Sippy-to-Sippy sends through account abstraction (ERC-4337), so sending money to a friend costs nothing.
- Passkey step-up for larger sends: a biometric confirmation protects the account even if the phone is compromised.
- Money in from wherever your money is: European bank transfers in EUR (SEPA), Colombian bank rails in COP, cards or any crypto wallet via fund.sippy.lat.
- And there is a savings feature in closed beta: one message puts your dollars to work. Ask Fabio about it at the booth.
Where it is today
- Live in Colombia: 224 wallets opened, about $32K moved through the product in 321 onchain transactions, plus $17.6K on-ramped.
- At one community event in Cartagena (Pizza Day, May 2026), 201 people opened a wallet from a single WhatsApp message and paid for pizza with it. Most had never touched crypto.
- Supported by an Arbitrum grant through Questbook.
